The Columbia Housing Authority (CHA) is the public housing agency serving Columbia, South Carolina. Its mission is to provide safe, affordable housing and supportive services to low-income individuals and families, including veterans, seniors, and persons with disabilities. CHA manages public housing units and administers housing assistance programs, such as the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program, to help residents secure stable and affordable homes.

Richland Library Social Work Services: RCPL’s social workers help residents connect with housing, healthcare, food, benefits, and other community services. Assistance is free, and residents can call 803-509-8371, email [email protected], or visit Richland Library Main during walk-in hours.

The Cooperative Ministry: Helps Midlands residents improve financial stability through one-on-one financial coaching and crisis-assistance programs. Limited assistance with housing expenses may be available to people participating in its Financial Empowerment program; assistance is not immediate or guaranteed.
